Qatar Financial Markets Authority launches new website

Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) yesterday launched its new website (https://www.qfma.org.qa), which provides investors and participants in the Qatari capital markets, as well as all beneficiaries, stakeholders, and entities licensed by the QFMA, with an additional communication channel that enables its users to access information and obtain electronic services easily, smoothly, and with minimal effort, at any time and from anywhere.

Mohammed Al-Haddad, In charge of the tasks and duties of the Director of Information Systems Department at the QFMA, said that the launch of the QFMA’s new website comes as a part of the QFMA’s tireless efforts to improve the services it provides to all participants, investors and beneficiaries of the QFMA’s services, and to contribute to enhancing the performance of the capital markets in the country, strengthening their stability and ensuring their development, and keeping pace with the developments and changes witnessed by the sector.

He explained that the launch of the new website also comes within the framework of the QFMA’s continuous efforts to advance its electronic and digital services, in order to meet the aspirations and expectations of all parties concerned with the Qatari capital market. The launch of this website also comes within the QFMA’s strategy to develop the technical infrastructure in the financial markets, to keep pace with global developments in this sector, and to support the goals of building a sophisticated and secure the Qatari financial market.

In addition, Al-Haddad noted that the new website provides an online platform for submitting applications for a number of QFMA services. It also enhances communication with the QFMA by offering a mechanism for submitting electronic complaints and suggestions for improvement, whether related to the QFMA’s performance, the performance of Qatari capital markets, or the performance of financial service providers in the market.
