Doha: In a first of a kind partnership,the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) announced the signing of an agreement with the Seashore Group. Under the agreement, the Seashore Group will sponsor the Al Sabiq traditional championship, which will be held as part the activities of the HH The Amir Sword Festival, that kicks off today. The Seashore Group will present a special prize for winning rider.
The signing of the sponsorship contract was announced in the presence of QREC Chairman Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi and Seashore Group CEO Salem Saeed Al Mohannadi as well as officials from both sides.
Commenting on this sponsorship, QREC Chairman Al Mohannadi said: “We thank the Seashore Group for sponsoring one of the activities of the His Highness The Amir Sword Festival, the most prestigious and prominent horse racing event in Qatar and the region. Given the special nature of the Al Sabiq Championship, this sponsorship will contribute to fostering the rivalry among the participants for the first place in the championship, which usually sees a large number of fans.”
