The Gambia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Dr Mamadou Tangara called on Qatari businessmen and investors to visit his country to identify investment opportunities and tap into facilitations offered by the government for foreign investors.
This came during a meeting held at the Qatar Chamber (QC) headquarters yesterday in the presence of QC Second Vice-Chairman Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba and The Gambia’s Ambassador to Qatar Foday Malang.
The meeting touched on reviewing ways of enhancing trade and economic ties between both countries and exploring investment opportunities in The Gambia.
The Gambian Minister said that Qatari investments are more than welcome especially in tourism sector, and reiterated the close relations between both countries.
For his part, Al Athba said that Qatar’s economy is robust and attracts all foreign investments and companies, noting that Qatari businessmen are looking forward to identifying opportunities available in The Gambia in all sectors.
