Rainfall reported across several areas of Qatar

Doha, Qatar: Rain was observed in various areas of the country in the early morning today, including Doha. 

According to the Qatar Meteorology Department, Al Ghuwayriyah stations recorded the lowest temperature at 16°C, while the capital Doha recorded 21°C. 

The department observed light to moderate rain in the Northern areas, and thundery at Southern areas of the country. Partly cloudy to cloudy weather with thundery scattered rain are also observed.

Rainfall chances are expected to continue during the night hours today. 

Also, there was a marine warning of expected thundery rain associated with strong winds and high seas, as the wave height ranges from 3-7 FT, rises to 10 FT with thundery rain. 

In a recent report, the Meteorology Department stated that cloudy weather conditions will persist until Friday morning, December 19, 2025, along with chances of scattered and thundery at some places, varying in intensity.

The department urged the public to remain cautious and to follow official sources for safety instructions and timely updates.
