Doha: The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) has received the prestigious Silver Telly Award 2020 in recognition of ‘The Business Trip’ series, which was produced in partnership with Bloomberg Media Studios.
The three-part digital series explores the State of Qatar as one of the world’s booming business markets and ideal investment destination, through interviews with prominent officials and experts from the Qatari business community. The interviews revolved around the thriving and promising business sectors in Qatar, such as finance, technology, sports, and digital.
The list of interviewees includes Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida, CEO at QFC Authority; Ibrahim Hassan, Executive Director of Investment at Qatar Development Bank (QDB); Thani Al Malki, Senior Director Active at Ooredoo; Ali Al Mutawaa, Chief of Enterprise and Business Development at Aspire Zone Foundation; Wim De Waele, former CEO of B-Hive; Kim Wyatt, Director and Co-Founder of Dawar; Nebil Ben Essa, CEO at Q-Pay; Clark Williams, Director of Marketing at Msheireb Properties; Koen Bosma, Business Director at Qatar SportsTech; and Lana Khalaf, Country Manager, at Microsoft.
Held under the theme of ‘Telly Award Winners Tell Great Stories’, this year’s 41st awards edition pursues its commitment to honour local, regional and international work excellence from all screens; ranging from documentaries, branded content, and television shows to digital series, from across the world.
Founded in 1979, the annual Telly Awards provide a platform for all organisations, media producers, editors, directors and animators to showcase their masterpieces that tell great stories. Every year, more than 12,000 entries from five continents are reviewed and assessed by the Telly Awards Judging Council, which entails a group of over 200 working industry experts.
