DOHA: The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB) yesterday announced the launch of a comprehensive nationwide survey to evaluate the impact of specialised courts on Qatar’s business environment in collaboration with the Supreme Judiciary Council and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI).
Launched on the government’s official public participation platform, ‘Sharek,’ the survey provides a structured channel for legal practitioners, investors, business owners, and corporate stakeholders to share their direct feedback.
CGB on X stressed that the survey is launched with the “Aim of gathering feedback from stakeholders and evaluating the role of these courts in enhancing the business and investment environment.” The project measures user experience and gathers actionable insights on specialised legal bodies, such as commercial and investment courts, to refine litigation processes, speed case resolution, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Specialised courts play a vital role in upholding economic stability by ensuring swift, predictable, and expert adjudication of commercial disputes.
By capturing detailed feedback from end-users, public authorities intend to identify current procedural strengths, address operational bottlenecks, and continuously update judicial services to meet the fast-evolving needs of the private sector.
The launch reflects Qatar’s proactive, user-centred approach to governance, leveraging public input gathered via the Sharek portal to drive meaningful legislative and regulatory refinements.
The joint initiative serves as a cornerstone in Qatar’s broader economic strategy. By fostering transparency, reinforcing contract enforcement, and offering reliable dispute-resolution mechanisms, the country aims to boost investor confidence and further solidify its position as a foreign direct investment hub.
Officials noted that members of the business community, legal professionals, and institutional representatives are encouraged to submit their feedback by scanning the official survey code or visiting the Sharek portal.
