Doha, Qatar: The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, and the Ministry of Municipality showcased drone-based pesticide spraying technique at a workshop.
A live demonstration of the technology was conducted at the workshop to show effective use of drones for pesticide application at Doha North Sewage Treatment Plant.
The workshop also covered drone regulations, safe handling of pesticides and techniques for precise spraying to protect landscapes.
Engineer Hassan Al Mohammadi, Drainage Operations and Maintenance Department said that the participants were trained on regulatory compliance, drone operation and best practices for pesticide spraying to minimize environmental impact and ensure public health.
