DOHA: Ooredoo has signed a landmark agreement that will see the company deliver end to end managed ICT services to Doha Bank.
The agreement was completed at a signing ceremony in the Doha Bank Tower by the Ahmad Ali Al Hanzab, Head of Administration & Property Department at Doha Bank, and Ooredoo Chief Operating Officer, Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi.
The event was also attended by Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Group, Waleed Al Sayed, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Group and Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, and Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammad bin Jabor Al Thani, Managing Director of Doha Bank.
As part of the five-year contract, Ooredoo will guarantee Doha Bank a seamless managed ICT service, encompassing telecommunications, IT networks, Cyber Security and Data Centre solutions.
To ensure Doha Bank’s information is secure, Doha Bank will now move both their main and back-up data centre into Ooredoo’s world-class Qatar Data Centre. Ooredoo will also refresh Doha Bank’s network infrastructure to support the organisation’s mission critical operations.
Talking about the agreement, Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi, COO Ooredoo, said: “The move to our world-class Data Centre will enable Doha Bank to have complete control over their services and a host of ICT solutions, all based within the State of Qatar.
