Doha: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met H E Joe Biden, President of the United States of America, on the sidelines of the Jeddah Summit for Security and Development, in Jeddah today.
During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them in various fields, especially security, defense and sports, especially as Qatar is preparing to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Regional and international developments were also discussed. In this regard, the US President expressed his thanks and appreciation to Qatar for its role in promoting security and stability and its efforts in the peace process in Afghanistan.
