DOHA: The Philippines’ ‘Prince of Rock’ Bamboo Manalac (pictured) is all set to regale thousands of his Doha fans when he takes the stage performing some of  his iconic hits in his concert at Al Arabi Sports Club Stadium on Friday.

Around 5,000 concertgoers are expected to throng Bamboo Live in Doha 2018, which is part of Bamboo’s world tour in which he is expected to sing his chart-topping hits such as Tatsulok, Hallelujah, Noypi and Kailan as well as songs from his latest album Bless This Mess.

One of the most-loved Filipino artistes by Filipino musicophiles in Doha, Bamboo, who is known as one of the coaches of The Voice Philippines, has been here multiple times staging  successful shows in 2010, 2014 and 2016.

The two-hour concert will also feature Doha-based Filipino artistes including Global Tawag ng Tanghalan (Showtime) regional finalist Thea Gosilatar Astley and Qatar Duet To Win It grand champion Janus Pochollo III, in addition to singing nurse balladeer Red Cadorna, Trece Familia, Extreme Level Danz Crew, Moving Colours and Qatar All Star Dancers.

“This is the first time that a Qatari owned company that concentrates mainly on exhibitions and conferences business would collaborate for a Filipino event and we are just excited to touch base on the Filipino community and put a big concert that is organised in less than a month,” said Jihad Sarieddine, Events Manager of Alrabta Al Arabia.

He said they are just so thrilled as much as the Filipino community to have Bamboo in his comeback concert in Doha.

“This shows how Camp Kawayan is loved by OFWs especially here in Doha,” added Sarieddine.

“We are overwhelmed with how the “Kababayans” are responding into this event and I am positive that

Bamboo will rock the Al Arabi Stadium fourth time in a row,” said The Qatari Rashid Hamad Al Marri, Chairman of the Alrabta Al Arabia, adding he plans to bring more Filipino artists here in the future.

“It has been a challenging time to put up such big concert once again to think that this was just planned for  three weeks,” said Filipino events promoter Raffy Vital Gimeno, adding  they expect a massive turnout on the day of the concert.

Event partners are Philippine Airlines, Horizon Manor Hotel, Yellowcab, and Q-tickets arranged by organiser, being an official online ticket partner

Tickets are priced QR100 (regular), QR200 (VIP) and QR300 (VVIP with meet and greet) and can be purchased via Q-Tickets. Gate opens at 4pm and concert starts at 7pm.
