Doha: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of November 2021 reached 101.75 points showing an increase of 1.33 percent compared to CPI of October 2021, according to latest CPI figures released by the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA), yesterday.
Compared to CPI of November 2020, an increase of 6.09 percent has been recorded in the general index (CPI) of this month.
An analysis of CPI for November 2021 compared with CPI, October 2021, showed that there were five main groups, where respective indices in this month have increased, namely: “Recreation and Culture” by 7.92 percent, Transport by 2.63 percent, “Clothing and Footwear” by 2.09 percent. “Food and Beverages” by 0.58 percent, and “Miscellaneous Goods and Services” by 0.06 percent. A decrease has been recorded in “Housing, Water, Electricity and other Fuel” by 0.46 percent, “Restaurants and Hotels” by 0.06 percent, and “Education” by 0.01 percent. “Tobacco”, “Furniture and Household Equipment”, “Health”, and “Communication” had remained flat at the last month’s price level.
