Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, gave directives to send relief aid to the victims of the earthquake in northern Iraq.
An Air Force C17 airliner left Qatar today to Iraq carrying relief aid and various items in support of the victims of the earthquake.
A total of 49 tonnes of food material, medical supplies and tents were delivered to affected people.
The delegation was accompanied by a team from Lekhwiya Search and Rescue Team, who will provide relief in coordination with the concerned authorities and help reach the affected people.
