Ground-breaking Ooredoo Fibre technology to be launched in Lusail

DOHA: Ooredoo announced that it will roll out first-in-class Fibre Home devices to Lusail, to ensure Qatar’s first smart city is fully connected, QNA reported.

Furthermore, Ooredoo is partnering with NETGEAR to bring AX Wi-Fi based Orbi to customers in the future. Orbi AX will support bandwidth-hungry applications, such as 4K video streaming to multiple devices simultaneously, and will accommodate to hard-core gamers.

Talking about the update, Ooredoo Chief Operating Officer Yousuf Abdulla Al Kubaisi said: “Ooredoo Fibre will play a key part in connecting residents and visitors to smart technology, as well as ensure world-class entertainment is available in all homes in Lusail. We’re offering the latest Orbi Hub technology to Lusail to enable everyone in the area to enjoy the life-changing speeds Ooredoo Fibre offers and make the most out of the new technology on offer.”

To accommodate Lusail City’s ground-breaking smart city plans, Ooredoo will provide a NETGEAR Orbi Hub device that uses the latest technology, in terms of Tri-Band Wi-Fi and provides Wi-Fi coverage of up to 200sqm, to all Ooredoo Fibre customers in Lusail.
