Doha: President of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria HE Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed that the Israeli aggression against the sisterly State of Qatar constitutes an assault on the entire Arab and Islamic nation, its values and principles, stressing that its security is indivisible.
HE Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, delivered Algeria's address before the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit on behalf of HE the Algerian President, reiterating Algeria's full support for Qatar -- its leadership, government, and people -- in all measures it deems necessary to safeguard its sovereignty, preserve the integrity of its territory, and protect its citizens.
He underlined the gravity of the current phase in the Middle East, affirming that the Israeli occupation has violated all international laws and conventions and has become the greatest threat to regional and international peace and security through its aggressive policies, criminal practices, and repeated assaults against several countries of the region.
HE the Minister highlighted that Algeria had taken the initiative two days ago to request a UN Security Council meeting to discuss the Israeli aggression against Qatar, noting that the session witnessed broad solidarity and strong support for the brotherly State of Qatar from all member states.
In conclusion, HE the Algerian President emphasized that the international community is no longer hesitant or weak in confronting the Israeli occupation, but is increasingly convinced of the need for deterrence and accountability. He called for unified Arab and Islamic resolutions to translate this growing international awareness into concrete measures to halt Israeli arrogance, uphold the rights of the peoples and states of the region, and accelerate efforts to address the root causes of the conflict.
