DOHA: The Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics has launched preliminary consultations for the preparation of the second Qatar National Development Strategy 2017–2022 through a workshop.
Nearly 60 participants took part in the workshop representing ministries, government entities and civil society in order to learn the views of senior representatives of ministries about the new strategy, reports QNA.
The Minister of Development Planning and Statistics HE Dr Saleh bin Mohammad Al Nabit opened the workshop that featured presentations on the second National Development Strategy and the major achievements of the first one.
The minister said that the National Development Strategy has unified the focus on reaching the development goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 as well as spreading a culture of strategic planning that goes hand in hand with vision.
The Ministry had hosted delegations from the World Bank for consultations on the second Qatar National Development Strategy and how to benefit from the experiences of some world countries in this regard.
