Emir ratifies agreements and MoUs

Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued decree No. (32) of 2017 ratifying an agreement for the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports between the Government of Qatar and the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, signed in Caracas on 25/11/2015. The agreement annexed to this decree shall have the force of law in accordance with Article (68) of the Constitution.

The Emir issued decree No. (33) of 2017 ratifying an agreement between Qatar and India on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special and official passports, signed in New Delhi on December 3, 2016. The agreement annexed to this decree shall have the force of law in accordance with Article (68) of the Constitution.

The Emir also issued decree issued No. (34) of 2017 ratifying a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of sport between Qatar and Turkmenistan, signed in Ashgabat on 7/3/2016. 

The Emir issued decree No. (35) of 2017 ratifying a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of transport between Qatar and Turkmenistan, signed in Ashgabat on 7/3/2016. The MoU annexed to this decree shall have the force of law in accordance with Article (68) of the Constitution.

The Emir also issued decree No. (36) of 2017 ratifying a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of education between Qatar and Turkmenistan, signed in Ashgabat on 7/3/2016. 

The Emir issued decree No. (37) of 2017 ratifying an agreement for cooperation in the legal field between the Ministry of Justice of Qatar and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, signed in Baku on 8/3/2016. 

The decrees shall be implemented and effective from the date of their issuance and they shall be published in the gazette. 

The Emir also ratified the Cabinet decision No. (23) of 2017 expropriating some real estate for the public good. 

The decision is effective from the next day of the date of issuance and is to be published in the Official Gazette. 

The Emir issued an instrument of ratification endorsing a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of health and food safety between the governments of Qatar and New Zealand, which was signed in Doha on March 5. 

The Emir also issued an instrument of ratification endorsing a draft MoU on cooperation in the field of transportation between the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Azerbaijan's Ministry of Transport, which was signed in Baku on March 8, 2016. 

Additionally, the Emir issued an instrument of ratification endorsing the ratification of a draft agreement on encouraging and protecting mutual investments between the governments of Qatar and Liberia, which was signed in Doha on May 21, 2014.

Emir issues decree to adjourn Advisory Council 

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued decree No. (31) of 2017 adjourning the 45th regular session of the Advisory Council as of Tuesday, the 17th of Shawwal 1438H, corresponding to July 11, 2017. The decree is effective from its date of issuance and is to published in the official gazette.
