Nineteen students were honored with graduation certificates from Qatar Taekwondo Federation at Jungle Zone. The ceremony was organised for the students who completed 3-month training at Taekwondo programme and received the ‘Yellow belt’.
“Qatar National Sport Day highlights the importance of a healthy lifestyle, especially through physical activities. Jungle zone’s children-focused initiatives like Taekwondo training will encourage young generation to stay physically active and will equip them with techniques for self defense,” said Feroz Moideen, General Manager of Hyatt Plaza Shopping Mall and Jungle Zone Theme Park.
The children were trained by International Taekwondo coach Belal Batu, who is a 6th Dan Black Belt coach. “The kids have worked really hard throughout the past three months and passed our yellow belt test. So, they deserved to be honoured,” he said. The training programme takes place every Sunday and Tuesday in two batches (4pm to 5.15pm and 5.15pm to 6.30pm) and enrollment is open to all kids above 4-year of age.The Peninsula
