Doha: As part of International Cricket Council’s (ICC) initiative to uplift the sport in Associate Countries, Qatar Cricket Association conducted the Criiio Entry Level Programme for schoolgirls aged 8-13 years – at the Asian Town Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Hundred and sixty eight girls from three schools participated in the coaching camp which was divided into six stations.
Ten qualified coaches were allocated for each station. The coaches briefed the children about the game and gave introductory cricket lessons. The participants had a fun time with cricket gear while enjoying and engaging in basics of the sport during the three-hour programme.
