The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the explosion that targeted an Egyptian army checkpoint south of Rafah in North Sinai Governorate, which resulted in the death and wounding of a number of soldiers. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm stance rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and reasons. The statement expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims and the Egyptian people, wishing the injured speedy recovery.
