Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, inaugurated the Parenting Center 'Kanaf' Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026, in a move reflecting the national direction towards strengthening the role of the family to build a cohesive society.
Kanaf is a flagship project of the Ministry of Social Development and Family, affiliated with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work. It aligns with the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy and supports efforts to enhance family well-being and strengthen the country's social empowerment framework.
The Prime Minister also took to social media to highlight the initiative, stating, "Today, I was delighted to inaugurate the "Kanaf" Parenting Center. The family is the foremost institution of the nation, and what we build within it today will show its impact in generations to come. We look forward to it being a beacon for every Qatari family seeking support and guidance in its educational journey. My deepest thanks to those running this center."
The inauguration was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers, along with representatives of government entities and civil society organizations, partners and stakeholders.
