Washington: Two seminars were held on Thursday in Washington, DC, as part of Qatar’s economic tour of the United States, which includes four US cities.
The two sessions were attended by Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim Al Thani, and a number of Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from the American business community.
The first session discussed opportunities for cooperation in the investment sector between the two countries, prioritising attractive investment opportunities, and the possibility of establishing partnerships between businessmen in both countries.
The US has been briefed on Qatar’s investment-friendly economic environment, as well as recent state-of-the-art infrastructure and QFC services for businesses and individuals. The American businessmen were invited to visit Doha to learn more about the investment opportunities.
In the next session, the American side was introduced to the national investment laws and regulations. The session discussed the legislative developments in the country, and ways of cooperation in the field of law and legal services.
