Doha: The first edition of the Qatar Universities Handball League 2023 for men kicked off at the Qatar University’s New Sport Arena.
The event will continue until March 21 with participation of a number of high education institutions and Universities.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by senior officials and board members of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF) along with representatives of Universities, participating teams and students.
Qatar Universities Handball League is the third consecutive event to be organised within a month under the umbrella of the Qatar Collegiate Sports Federation (QCSF), according to its sports calendar for the year.
These events are seeing a big turnout and positive response from high education institutions.
In a statement, the QCSF Secretary General, Rashid Saed Mohammed said the QCSF’s 2023 calendar is busy with several sport tournaments, saying the activities will help in promoting the sport culture among students.
“The QCSF will keep interacting and participating in all the sport and community events annually organised by the State of Qatar,” he said.
