Doha: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) urged citizens and residents to follow safety measures in marine vessels.
In a post on social media, the MoI listed a few tips to ensure safety while using a marine vessel. The tips include the following:
1. Ensure fuel and adequate supplies for the duration of the trip.
2. Have a marine compass and do not place any metal piece near it.
3. Ensure to follow the maritime boundaries of the area.
4. Avoid approaching swimming areas, oil installations and prohibited areas.
5. Wear life jackets and ensure availability of lifebuoys.
6. At least two persons should be there on jet boats and cruisers.
