There are many events happening in Doha over this weekend. As weather gets cooler there are many interesting outdoor activities you can visit like the motor show at racing club. Here are a few events worth checking out. Happy weekend!

Qatar Custom Show

Organsied by Soul Riders Motorcycles Club, around a hundred customised vehicles will be on display there as Qatar Custom Show kicks. As a bonus there will be drag races and massive motorcycle parade called “Thank you Kuwait” is planned for Friday afternoon.

Qatar-USA Year of Culture – Opening Concert

Qatar- USA 2021 Year of Culture is intended to enhance cultural and artistic exchange and exemplifies the renewed commitment of the two nations to foster mutual understanding and promote intercultural dialogue. The specially curated 2021 Year of Culture will feature a wide-ranging program of exhibitions, festivals, bilateral exchanges, and events to be held in both nations.

The opening concert for this will be held this weekend at Katara. 

When: 16 January 2021; First show: 3:30pm; Second show: 7:30pm

Super-cars show

The Super-cars Show will be held at The Pearl-Qatar

When: Friday, 15th January 2021 at 4pm. Open for everyone

Where: Medina Centrale – Pearl Qatar

QNL – Make your Own Game Using Minecraft

Participants will explore and understand the basics of Minecraft and its creative possibilities, including some models built using the game. The workshop will be conducted online

Lived Forward: Art and Culture in Doha from 1960-2020

This edition of ‘Focus: Works from Mathaf Collection’ explores the reference points of several generations who have played major roles in fostering the arts in Doha during an era of rapid social and urban change. This exhibition is about the lived experiences and surviving knowledge of those generations; and the lingering questions that artists continue to engage with today.

Mal Lawal 3 Cars

Classic cars edition are exhibited at Mal Lawal 3, a unique platform that celebrates collecting and bringing together private collectors from Qatar to showcase their collectibles. This time the exhibition has cars from two established local car collectors.

When: On until August 1; 9am to 7pm (Friday 1:30pm to 7pm)

Where: National Museum of Qatar

Torba Farmers Market

The popular market is back at Ceremonial Court in Qatar Foundation with the Covid-19 precautionary measures in place. Offering a wide range of products including freshly-baked goods, fruits, vegetables, homemade preserves, syrups, and handicrafts, the market is a hit among the community.

Where: Ceremonial Court in Qatar Foundation.

When: Only on Saturdays from 8am to 5pm, until April

Tasty Street

Tasty Street Qatar, a drive-thru food festival organised at Katara with over 300 food kiosks. The event will be held until March 2021.
