Asian Cup Qualifiers: Qatar U-23 team begins preparations

Doha: Qatar’s U-23 football team has begun their training in preparation for the qualifications of the AFC Asian U-23 Cup.

The 16-nation tournament will be held in Thailand in 2020.

Doha will host the group A of the qualifications which includes Oman, Afghanistan and hosts Qatar.

The Qatari team will take on their Jordanian counterparts in two friendly matches in Doha on November 17 and 20.

The Qatar Football Association (QFA) recently announced the initial 30-member squad for the tournament.

Qatar U-23 squad:
Khalid Mounir, Hazim Shehata, Rabeh Bu Safi, Ahmad Yasser, Saleh Al Halabi, Mohammad Al Naimi, Abdullah Abdulsalam, Mohammad Ismail, Hassan Waleed, Amr Seraj, Elias Ahmad, Mohammad Ramadan, Hatem Kamal, Meshal Barshim, Bahaa Al Lithy, Yousef Abdulrazaq, Hassan Ahmad, Sayed Hassan, Adel Badr, Abdulrab Rajab, Ibrahim Masoud, Mowafaq Awad, Abdullah Hussain, Mohammad Saeed, Yazan Naim, Mohammad Abdulnaser, Khalifa Ssad, Mohammad Abu Nada, Mohammad Saqr and Hammam Al Amin.
