Doha: The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani attended a ceremony to honour a number of owners of Qatari factory and companies, who expanded their industrial activities after the start of the unjust siege.
The event honoured the owners of plants that doubled their production of vital goods during the siege period and helped in meeting the needs of the local market.
The honoring ceremony aims to encourage businessmen and investors to increase production capacity in order to achieve self-sufficiency in different industries.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister inaugurated Qatar industrial portal, an interactive portal of strategic importance in industrial planning that aims at enabling decision-makers and investors to make appropriate decisions for their different projects.
At the end of ceremony, the Prime Minister honoured the owners and representatives of factories and companies with certificates of appreciation, to encourage them for developing and increasing their products.
