Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) urged all people who are planning to travel to keep checking the official MoPH website for latest updates.

As the new travel policy came into effect from July 12, lifting many restrictions for fully vaccinated people, more and more people are planning to travel during the summer break. The policy, which was announced on July 8, was further updated on July 9.

Ministry also posted the same message in different languages for the benefit of the expatriate population in Qatar. The tweet was posted in Arabic, Tamil, Malayalam, Sinhala and Hindi languages.

“We advise everyone to keep abreast of the latest updates on Qatar’s policy for travel and return from abroad. For all updates on the travel policy, please click on the link below: https://covid19.moph.gov.qa/EN/travel-and-return-policy/Pages/default.aspx,” MoPH posted on social media.

Some clauses were changed after the initial announcement of policy like the mandatory requirement to pre-register before coming to Qatar is now made optional.

Same way Sinovac, which was there in the initial list was later removed from the conditional vaccine list. The quarantine requirement for children was also updated.

As news regarding travel restrictions are evolving around the world, it is prudent to check the official website of the destination country before embarking on your journey.
