DOHA: Qatar Chamber (QC), the largest and oldest private industry representative body in the country, has been invited to participate in the International Investment Conference in Tourism which will be held from June 26- 28 2019 in Caracas, Venezuela.
This came during a meeting at the Chamber’s venue between QC’s Second Vice-Chairman Rashid bin Hamad Al Athba with the Ambassador of Venezuela to Qatar Giuseppe Angelo Yoffreda Yorio, yesterday.
Addressing the meeting, the Venezuelan ambassador reviewed the objectives of the conference which aims at attracting foreign investments to the Venezuelan tourism sectors.
Ambassador Yorio called on Qatari businessmen to explore investment opportunities available in his country, noting that the conference would offer many investment opportunities such as three islands which include all economic and touristic potentials.
He also said that there existed investment opportunities galore in other sectors including oil, gold, mining and agriculture. Venezuela has greatly developed its economic laws and legislatives with a view to attracting more foreign investments in all sectors, he added.
He affirmed his country’s interest to promote relations with Qatar in all economic and commercial aspects.
On his part, Al Athba praised the distinguished relations between both countries, noting that Qatar Chamber is ready to promote investment opportunities in Venezuela between Qatari businessmen.
He said that Qatari businessmen are open to all world markets and the chamber encourages them to explore investment climate in Venezuela.
