Doha: The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, represented by the Labor Inspection Department, detected a violation in one of the workers’ housing for a company working in the field of hygiene and hospitality in the Al-Khaisa area.
The ministry registered a violation as the company failed to comply with the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers, with legal measures taken against the violating company by the labor inspection team.
From this standpoint, the Ministry called on companies to adhere to the requirements and specifications of suitable housing for workers, in order to avoid being subjected to penalties that reach imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months, and to a fine of not less than two thousand riyals and not exceeding one hundred thousand riyals, or one of these two penalties, according to Decree-Law No. 18 of 2020 amending some provisions of the Labor Law promulgated by Law No. 14 of 2004.
