Doha: As part of simplifying and digitalizing services of the Ministry of Interior, six new services have been added to Metrash2. They include some services of Recruitment Applications Review Committee, visa services and establishment registration service.
The Ministry explained on its Twitter account that the new services added to Metrash2 include:
Exceptional Visa Extension Service: 'Visa Services' window on Metrash2 will allow to complete the exceptional visa extension service for Businessmen visa, Official visa and Tourist Visa. This service allows extending some types of visit visas as per the specified conditions. The applicant shall explain the case and attach the required documents. The application will be assessed electronically.
Employer Change Service for Visa Holders: Metrash2 now allows to access and complete employer change service for visa holders. This service allows an expatriate inside the country on a work visa to change from one employer to another if the current employer provides NOC for change.
Changing the Sponsor for Family: 'Residency Services' window on Metrash2 allows you to complete the 'Employer Change - Family Relationship’ service. Expatriates on family sponsorships can take advantage of this service to change their sponsorship to another family member. The new host has to submit the application for sponsorship change and attach the required documents. The application will be referred to the Review Committee electronically for their decision.
Visa Service for Newborn (for a mother inside the country on a family visit visa): Family visit visa holders can take advantage of this service when a mother on a family visit visa gives birth to a child inside the country. If conditions are met, the host can apply for a family visit visa of the same type, issued to the mother, for the newborn baby.
Establishment registration service allows applying for establishment registration (computer card) for government, semi-government and private companies. General Services window in Metrash2 provides access to complete the commercial establishment registration service.
Service for Changing Personal Employer and those on similar status (Farms, Fishing Boats): 'Residency Services' window on Metrash2 allows you to access and complete the 'Employer Change' service. This service is available for personal employers and those on their status, such as owners of farms and fishing boats. The new employer has to submit the application for employer change and attach the required documents. The application will be referred to the Review Committee electronically for their decision.
