Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced the postponement of the 62nd edition of the Annual School Quran Memorisation Competition, and the 12th edition of the Junior Hadith Competition, until next year.
In a statement, the Ministry affirmed that this decision comes within the framework of its responsibility to create an ideal educational and competitive environment befitting the status of these competitions, while ensuring that they are held under appropriate circumstances and at suitable times that achieve the desired educational and scientific goals.
The Ministry affirmed its commitment to developing its Quranic and scientific programs and initiatives, which strengthen its mission to serve the community and build a conscious generation firmly rooted in its Islamic identity.
