Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Maverick Viñales occupied the top spot at the end of Day 4 action of the Official MotoGP Qatar Test, thanks to a late 1:53.244 lap time yesterday. Three Yamahas led the way yesterday as Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha SRT) and Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) both set 1:53.3s to cement their good form heading into the final day of pre-season testing.
Meanwhile, MotoGP.com stated that after a big high side on the exit of Turn 9 during yesterday's action, Alex Marquez (LCR Honda Castrol) has suffered a small fracture to the fourth metatarsal bone in his right foot.
The double World Champion had headed to the hospital for mandatory checks after initially visiting the circuit medical centre. It remains to be seen whether Marquez will be forced to sit out the final day of pre-season testing today
