Fifty One East and Sony Middle East and Africa hosted a workshop on Sony’s latest ‘4D Focus’ system.
The workshop was held in Fifty One East at Lagoona Mall by experts from Sony Middle East and attended by representatives of Fifty One East and group of professional photographers and modern technology fanatics. The workshop captivated the participants who showed big interest in the presentation and experienced themselves the 4D Focus system with the assistance of Sony experts.
Sony new ‘4D Focus’ system enables the camera to detect not only depth (3D) but also time (4D) and leverages rapid autofocus (AF), and a unique AF system that achieves high predictive precision, all of which are incorporated in the latest Sony cameras.
At the workshop, Sony showcased a selection of its cameras currently featuring 4D Focus, including the α6000, α77 II and a5100 which are already available at all Fifty One East’s outlets located in Lagoona Mall, Al Maha Centre, and City Center Doha Mall in addition to all Virgin Megastores. When using these cameras, the shooting object’s position and speed are recorded by the camera. The 4D Focus system makes a prediction of the next move of the object and then adjusts the focus appropriately. The results are clear and crisp photos regardless of the speed of the object.
Providing an insight into 4D Focus and the value it will bring to digital imaging, Kenta Akiyama, Head of the Digital Imaging Division at Sony, said: “Sony has continuously invested in products and technology to provide a unique user experience.
