Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the General Cleanliness Department, has announced a September beach and island cleaning campaign, inviting community members to take part in a series of clean-up activities across several coastal locations in Qatar.
The campaign, part of the Ministry’s community initiatives for 2026, aims to strengthen public participation in preserving Qatar’s beaches and islands and promote environmental responsibility in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The clean-up drive will be held from September 13 to 26 at beaches and islands across the country, with activities scheduled during morning and evening sessions to provide greater flexibility for community participation. The first activities will take place on September 13, with a morning clean-up at Zekreet and an evening session at Simaisma Family Beach.
