Emir appoints envoys to Iraq, UAE and Poland

Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued Emiri Decision No. 43 of 2015, appointing Zayed Saeed Rashid Al Kmeit Al Khayareen as Qatar’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Iraq. The Emir also issued Emiri Decision No. 44 of 2015, appointing Hadi Nasser Mansour Khalil Al Hajri as Qatar’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, the Emir issued Emiri Decision No. 45 of 2015, appointing Ahmed Saif Saif Khalaf Al Maadadi as Qatar’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Poland. The Emiri decisions are operative as of the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette. 

Emir transfers two ambassadors  


Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued Emiri Decision No. 41 of 2015, transferring Mohammed Ali Sultan Al Ali Al Maadeed, Qatar’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Singapore, as an ambassador at the Foreign Ministry headquarters. The Emir also issued Emiri Decision No. 42 of 2015, transferring Jassim Ali Abdullah Al Obaidly, Qatar’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Philippines, as an ambassador at the Foreign Ministry headquarters. The two Emiri decisions are operative as of the date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette. 


Emir ratifies Cabinet Decisions


Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday ratified Cabinet Decision No. 28 of 2015 on amending the organization of some administrative units that form the Ministry of Environment and specifying their powers. The Emir also ratified Cabinet Decision No. 29 of 2015 on amending the organisation of some administrative units that form the Ministry of Energy and Industry and specifying their powers. The Emir ratified Cabinet Decision No. 30 of 2015 on the application of provisions of Law No. 24 of 2002 regarding retirement and pensions on Qatari employees of Sheikh Eid bin Muhammad Al Thani Charitable Association. The decision is operative as of the following day to its date of publishing in the official gazette. 

Cameron phones Emir


Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday received a telephone call from  Prime Minister of Britain, David Cameron. During the call,  the Emir and the British premier reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and discussed  a number of issues of mutual interest. 
Kahramaa regulation
Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued Emiri Decision No. 46 of 2015, amending some provisions of the Emiri Decision No. 35 of 2014 on the regulation of Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa). The Emiri decision is operative as of the date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.

Al Muntazah PHC to be closed for 2 days


DOHA: The primary health centre  in Al Muntazah will be closed for two days due to maintenance work, according to the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC). The health centre will be closed today and tomorrow and resume to receive patients on Sunday.  The PHCC also said that arrangements has been made for patients registered with  the  Al Muntazah health centre to seek treatment at Umm Ghuwalina health centre.
