Doha: HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi affirmed that the State of Qatar's experience in diplomatic mediation enabled the country to complete the Doha Peace Agreement and the participation of Politico-Military Movements in the Chadian National, Inclusive, and Sovereign Dialogue.
In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), His Excellency said that the agreement paves the way for the beginning of a national dialogue in the Chadian capital, N'Djamena, which aims to achieve comprehensive national reconciliation in the country.
HE Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi attributed the success of the State of Qatar in completing the agreement between the Chadian parties to Doha's experience in diplomatic mediation, and the country's distinguished relations with various countries of the world, as well as Qatar's keenness to achieve international peace and security.
Doha has made unremitting diplomatic and political efforts in mediation between factions, entities and countries, at the regional and international levels over the past years, in order to bring views together and find sustainable solutions to conflicts and disputes, His Excellency added.
His Excellency also listed the issues that Qatari diplomacy helped achieve peace in between the conflicting parties, the latest of which was the peace agreement between the US and the Taliban.
The Chadian parties signed the 'Doha Peace Agreement' with the participation of politico-military movements in the Chadian national, inclusive, and sovereign dialogue, under the auspices of the State of Qatar, which came as a culmination of the negotiations that it hosted during five months with regional and international participation.
