DOHA: Qatar has jumped to 95 in FIFA world rankings, their highest ever climb in recent years.
Ranked 101 at the end of last FIFA rankings issued a month ago, Qatar are now a notch above Asian giants China at 95.
Qatar, who are now coached by Djamel Belmadi, have accumulated 336 points.
Angola are at 94 with 347 points.
Iran, who will appear in the 2014 World Cup, are the top Asian side in FIFA rankings with 715 points. Iran have jumped 5 spots in the last one month. Japan (613) are second in Asia followed by Uzbekistan (577), Korea (551) and Australia (545).
Jordan (510) are in 6th spot followed by the UAE (499), Saudi Arabia (455), Oman (418) and Qatar (336).
