Over 500 stranded Indians travel from Qatar; Embassy open all days for passport services

Doha, Qatar: More than 500 Indian nationals stranded in Qatar travelled to New Delhi and other destinations on Qatar Airways flights on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the Indian Embassy in Qatar said in an advisory published in their X platform.

The Embassy said Qatar Airways is scheduled to operate two additional flights to India on March 12, one each to New Delhi and Mumbai.

It added that the three 24/7 helplines of the Embassy of India remain available for the Indian community to raise any queries.

The Embassy also noted that special attention is being given to the quick issuance of passports for Indian nationals. Due to the current situation, the Embassy is open on all days of the week for receiving passport applications.

According to the advisory, Tatkal passports are being issued within one to two days.

The Embassy further urged the public to take alerts and warning messages issued by official channels seriously and follow the necessary guidelines.

Residents were also advised not to approach any unidentified objects, debris or fragments, and to immediately report them by calling 999.
