Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior highlighted on Sunday the Metrash authorisation service, which allows users to authorise their family members (wife and children) to activate the Metrash application on their mobile phones, particularly in cases where family members do not have a registered phone number in their own name.
In an infographic shared on its official social media platforms, the Ministry explained that the service enables residents to authorise wives and children to use the Metrash app through a simple digital process, reinforcing the ministry’s efforts to enhance access to government services.
According to the MoI, the service can be accessed through the ‘Delegation’ option within the Metrash app.
Users are first required to open the main menu and select ‘Delegation’, then choose ‘Relative Registration’ from the available services.
The authorised user must then enter the required details of the relative, including personal information and the phone number to be used for activation.
Once the information is submitted and confirmed, the relative will be authorised to activate and use the Metrash application on the specified device.
The Ministry noted that by clicking ‘Add’, the concerned relative becomes officially authorised to use the selected phone number for accessing Metrash services, completing the process instantly.
