Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) recognises the significance of Qatar National Day by honouring the history and identity of Qatar and organised several events to mark the event.
Under this year’s theme - Promise of Prosperity and Glory – HMC has organised a number of activities across its network of hospitals and facilities to showcase Qatar’s heritage and culture.
\Scheduled to take place from December 12 to 14, the activities will showcase Qatari patriotism, familiarise expatriates with the local culture, and highlight Qatar’s spirit of warm hospitality.
Ali Abdullah Al Khater (pictured), HMC’s Chief Communications Officer and Chair of the Healthcare Communications Committee, said: “These festivities are a true celebration of Qatar’s culture and heritage. Qatar National Day is a day of great pride for all of us, and we take this opportunity to extend our best wishes and prayers to our country’s visionary leaders and pledge to continue our efforts to achieve excellence and prosperity for our beloved nation and its people.”
The planned festivities will also allow HMC’s hospitals to promote its health care services by providing free basic medical check-ups, health tips, and information on maintaining a healthy diet and active lifestyle. During the three days of planned celebrations, there will also be an opportunity for members of the community to meet clinical experts.
Al Khater said, “These activities are a testament to our ongoing commitment to patient-centred care. We are constantly striving to improve health awareness and enable people to become their own health advocates. The range of health-related activities and services we will provide in celebration of Qatar National Day will help support this goal.”
He added that Qatar National Day is a special day as it provides a great platform for Qataris to share their national culture with expatriates. “It’s also an opportunity for Qataris to highlight their country’s rich heritage, reflect on its history, share its customs, and ultimately promote a greater appreciation of their culture and ancestors’ legacy,” said Al Khater.
