With the support of the National Breast and Bowel Cancer Screening Program ‘Screen For Life’ led by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), 65 women have undergone free mammogram tests at Aster Hospital recently.
The mammogram tests for breast cancer screening were conducted in the mobile screening unit of PHCC at Aster Hospital situated near to Family Food Centre adjacent to Old Airport Road in Doha.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, breast cancer is accounted for 17.42 among all cancers in the country.
A mammogram is a screening test designed for the early detection of breast cancer in women.
The Screen for Life program was held in the framework of the Ministry of Public Health’s National Cancer Program.
The program focused on breast and bowel cancer screening and helps raise awareness about the importance of regular screening and early detection in saving lives.
