Police College celebrates graduation of officer cadets

Doha, Qatar: The Police Academy celebrated the graduation of the 1st Police Operations Course for Officers and the Commando Course for officer cadets from the 8th batch of the Police College.

The ceremony held at the Zekreet Camp, on Sunday, 9 November, was attended by the Legal Advisor to HE the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Academy, Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, along with a number of directors from the Ministry of Interior and officers from various military and security entities.

The Police Operations Course for Officers included 56 participants from different security departments and aimed to enhance their efficiency in leadership, command, and operational planning.

The Commando Course, conducted over six weeks with the participation of 168 officer cadets from the 8th batch, focused on developing physical and tactical capabilities and refining leadership qualities through intensive field training.

Both courses fall within the Police Academy’s strategy to prepare highly qualified police cadres equipped with the operational and field skills necessary to perform their duties with professionalism, thereby strengthening the security and stability of the State.

During the Commando Course, cadets underwent more than 425 hours of field and theoretical training, which included practical exercises such as tower descent, physical fitness, swimming, self-defense, maritime combat, urban combat, raids, arrest and control techniques, night patrols, long marches, compass use, marksmanship, operational orders, and survival skills. The training also featured realistic scenarios simulating actual police missions.
