QPAY International bags Qatar’s ‘Best Technology Company’ award

DOHA: QPAY International, Qatar’s largest financial technology company and a member of NEXXO Network, has been recognized as ‘The Best Technology Company in Qatar’ at the Qatar IT Business Awards 2018 – for delivering the latest and most efficient fintech solutions for more than 12,000 small businesses.

QPAY was honoured for its role in enhancing the country’s IT sector during the awards, an initiative of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC), held at the St Regis Doha and attended by the Minister of Transport and Communications, H E Jassim Saif Al Sulaiti, and other senior officials.

Since its founding in 2012 with the aim of increasing efficiency of small businesses, QPAY has worked determinedly to establish strong relationships with local Qatari banks and regulators and building trusted partnerships.

These partnerships have enabled the leading financial institutions to see the added value provided by QPAY in building a strong small business sector and a cashless society.

The firm was one of  the 14 leading Qatari IT and telecoms companies to receive an award from the MOTC, one of several initiatives from the ministry to invest in and grow the State’s ICT sector.

QPAY’s award-winning fintech solutions, which include the company’s first-of-its kind Payroll App, are now being used by more than 12,000 small businesses in Qatar, serving in excess of 200,000 employees, and supporting Qatar National Vision 2030 goal for a diversified national economy, and mega infrastructure projects such as the FIFA World Cup 2022.

QPAY now partners with more than 50 per cent of the State’s small business sector, which is a crucial contributor to the economy.
