Doha: As electronic transactions through apps are increasing among the public, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) has shared a number of tips to prevent exposure to cybercrimes and frauds.
The Ministry advised all citizens and residents to adhere to the following tips including:
1. Stay away from sharing the OTP (One Time Password) that you received through SMS to your phone with anybody for any reason.
2. Check and verify the authenticity of the calls and messages before taking any action.
3. Assist the Cyber Security Prevention Team by giving complete information about the fraud activity through Mobile: 66815757, Tel.: 2347444 and E-mail:[email protected].
4. Mention it to your friends, family and members of the community in order to make them aware of the fraud activities happening around us.
