Doha, Qatar: The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone call with HE Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the call, they reviewed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them. The two leaders also discussed the latest developments in the situation in the region, as well as Pakistan's mediation efforts aimed at de-escalation in a manner that contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed, during the call, the State of Qatar's appreciation for the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and all parties that have undertaken mediation and commendable endeavors that contributed to reaching a ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Excellency affirmed the State of Qatar's full support for Pakistan's mediation efforts aimed at ending the crisis through peaceful means, emphasizing the necessity for all parties to respond to these efforts in a way that contributes to creating the appropriate conditions for progress in the negotiations, leading to a comprehensive agreement that achieves sustainable peace in the region.
