Riyadh: The State of Qatar participated in the Future Aviation conference, which kicked off yesterday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Qatar was represented at the conference by Minister of Transport H E Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti.
The opening session of the conference— which will last for three days — was attended by a number of transport ministers and heads of civil aviation authorities around the world, as well as high-level specialists in international and regional organizations concerned with the civil aviation sector, in addition to the CEOs of a number of international air transport companies.
The conference —in which more than 60 countries are participating, and includes 120 speakers — aims to find solutions that contribute to the prosperity of the civil aviation sector in the coming years, especially since the sector needs the importance of activating global cooperation activities in civil aviation, and setting the necessary policies to ensure promising future for the sector.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Transport H E Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti met with Minister of Transport and Logistic Services of Saudi Arabia H E Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al Jasser, on the sidelines of the Future Aviation Forum.
The Minister lauded Saudi Arabia’s successful organisation of the Forum and discussed with Al Jasser aspects of cooperation in the fields of transportation, civil aviation, harbors, railroads, and further enhancing them.
H E Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti also met yesterday with Tunisian counterpart H E Rabie Al Majidi. The two ministers discussed cooperation in the fields of transportation, civil aviation and harbors.
