Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) in cooperation with Porsche Centre Doha Al Boraq Automobiles, Qatar’s Porsche dealership, has announced the recall of Porsche Panamera, 2017-2021 models as it was determined as a part of ongoing quality analysis that moisture could get into the control unit of the additional pump on your Porsche Panamera. Moisture that seeps in can cause malfunctions and short circuits in the above control unit. Such short circuits can lead to scorching damage and, in some cases to a fire.

The Ministry said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The Ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

The Ministry urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquires and suggestions.
