New York: The State of Qatar and the Federated States of micronesia signed a joint statement to establish diplomatic relations between the two nations.
The signing took place at the headquarters of the Permanent Delegation of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in New York.
On the State of Qatar's side, the joint statement was signed by Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, HE Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, while on the Federated States of micronesia's side, the statement was signed by Permanent Representative of the Federated States of micronesia to the United Nations, HE Jeem S. Lippwe.
Following the signing ceremony, both parties underscored the desire to strengthen and advance relations of friendship and cooperation.
They emphasized the importance of adhering to the principles of the United Nations and international law, as well as respecting and reinforcing international peace and security.
