Stenden University students, Event Management Department, in collaboration with Best Buddies Qatar organised “The Bigger Picture” event for Shafallah Center students with intellectual challenges. It was held at the Oasis Beach Club.
Students with and without intellectual challenges mutually enjoys such activities as word guessing, drawing, singing, lego constructing and others.
Tahira Makda, the Minor Electives Coordinator and Event Management Lecturer at Stenden University, said: “This event was held to support and assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as part of society and make the public more aware of the physically and intellectually challenged. This time “The Bigger Picture” event provided the intellectually challenged students the opportunity to participate and enjoy various activities as well as interact with the event management student team.”
