Katara displays murals on sidelines of KIAHF-2026

Doha, Qatar: The artworks on display on the margin of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, KIAHF-2026, underscore visual art as a medium to celebrate Arabian horses and Qatari heritage.

Featuring artists from Qatar and beyond, these three-dimensional murals are inspired by the beauty and spirit of horsemanship.

The public are able to follow the murals' stages of development and can interact directly with the artists, in a unique experience of its kind.

These artworks reflect a blend of Qatari heritage, Arabian horses, and contemporary art, showcasing each artist's individual creativity and contributing to advancing Qatar's cultural and artistic scenes.

Qatari artist, Iman Al Haydos said that her participation in the KIAHF-2026 is a very special experience, adding that she painted a four meters long mural, inspired by horses and spectator movement, focusing on dimensions and lighting as to highlight vitality and interaction.

Al Haydos said that she was happy with the strong public turnout from various age groups, including children who learned about horses and enjoyed art, adding that such interactions form the essence of artworks at this event.

For his part, Qatari artist, Fahad Al Maadheed said that works of art must constantly evolve whilst also preserving national identity and natural life.

Al Maadheed said that he focused on using bold, warm colors and shades of color to convey meaning and emotions, adding that he made sure that both the public and other artists benefited from the interactive experience.
